S.S. Singh
The
objective of S.S. Singh’s visit to Armenia was
to get acquainted with the tourism field and especially
the cultural heritage and sightseeing places as well
as to exchange experience with the tour agencies existing
in Armenia. During the first day of his visit we met
with the Deputy Minister to Trade, who leads the tourism
section of the Government. Meeting was very much productive
and the result was the agreement to cooperate further.
We contacted with almost all the tour agencies and
tour companies specialized both in incoming and outgoing
tourism in Armenia to gain detail information about
and establish relationship with them. We pointed out
several tour agencies and made the appointments before
their arrival. S.S. Singh visited to those tour agencies
and as a consequence of which the memorandum of understanding
was signed for future cooperation between India and
Armenia. Besides the above mentioned, the meeting
with the students along with the Dean of tourism department
of Armenian-Russian (Slavonic) University was organized
and it is worth to mention that it was also fruitful
and brought to mutual understanding as both sides
came to a decision to implement the exchange program
between the students of India and Armenia of tourism
department. I would like to note that it afforded
us a great opportunity to enlarge the borders of IABP
network in the business sector both in Armenia by
involving tourist agencies as well and India which
considered a potential colleague for Armenia in its
business market by making contribution to the development
of the tourism sphere simultaneously to the economy
of the country.

of parliament in particular with the Vice-Chairman
of Armenian parliament, where we have agreed upon
signing the memo on cooperation and the establishment
of the coordinating council.
