The international Association of Business and Parliament - Georgia was also invited on exhibition with project: ”Product from the Conflict Zone”. IABP has organized involving entrepreneurs from conflict regions, from Tskhinvali Region and Abkhazia. The Exhibition continued for three days.
An award ceremony was held in Parliament on 14 November to present the co-winners of the 2007 Youth Parliament Essay Competition, which was organised by the New Zealand Business & Parliament Trust, with their certificates and prize money.


IABP-Armenia is participating at the workshop on "Methodology on the Harmonization of Armenian Legislation to that of the European Union" organized by AEPLAC. IABP-Armenia may offer a forum for discussions on the topic between the EU and the National Assembly.


Erik Gyulazyan, Executive Director for IABP-Armenia, had a meeting with Alexander Avanessov, UNDP Deputy Resident Representative. During the meeting parties agreed to intensify cooperation on matters related to developing sound business environment in Armenia, through possible joint projects. The details will be further elaborated during upcoming meetings.



29 August - 1 September IABP-Georgia hosted Ms Natalia Federigi, ExecutiveDirector of the European Business and Parliament Scheme. The aim of the visit was to share experience, strengthen relationships between the schemes and set up an action plan for various programmes. These are aimed at closer cooperation between the parliaments with the support of IABP. It was also an opportunity for both directors to participate in training sessions led by the Secretary General of IABP, Mr. Fredrick Hyde-Chambers.
